“The Earth is ravaged.” He said
“I know.” She replied
“But, we remember when it was green and beautiful.”
“Yes”, he stated,
“Green and beautiful, with all the colors of the earth and sky.”
“They took it from us,” she said.
“In the name of greed and progress, and we watched.”
“Yes”, he said.
“They stuffed their pockets while they stuffed the people’s ears with lies.”
“They did,” she said
“Now, when they cannot turn back, they try and fill the rivers with their tears.”
“Yes”, he said.
“But tears do little to heal the wounds they have caused.”
“Foolish people with selfish hearts cripple the land and the bounty that was given.”
She looked at him with tears falling on dry cheeks.
“My children have ruined my gifts forever.”
